About the Photo Competition
This photo competition will explore the theme of Home, and we will showcase here and on our Flickr website a selection of the best photos you send us.
There will be two categories of entries: Under 18, and 18 & over.
Closing date for the competition was Saturday September 30, 2017
Theme: Home
The theme for this year's photo competition is Home taking inspiration from Eleanor Roosevelt who famously said, human rights begin in ‘small places, close to home’.
Use your imagination and visualisation to express your ideas on Human Rights through your camera or smartphone!
What are human rights?
Every person has inherent dignity and value. Human rights help us to recognise and respect that fundamental worth in ourselves and in each other as a human being. Human rights apply everywhere and are the same for everyone.

Categories
We will choose winners and several runner-ups for two categories: under 18, and 18 & over. Entrants to the Under 18 category are as at 30 September 2017, additionally you must have permission from your parent / guardian to enter.
Prizes
Winners for Under 18 and 18 & Over will receive a Prizes for overall winners are Olympus OM-D Mark II camera kits, valued at over $800.
Two runners up in each category will receive a $100 voucher from Momento Photo Books.
Display
The winners and shortlisted entries from the Photo Competition 2017 by the Australian Human Rights Commission will be on display online and also at the Human Rights Awards 2017 in Sydney.
